As an Assistant Marketing Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in supporting the Brand Activation team and the wider Commercial Marketing team to develop and deliver key strategies that drive awareness, engagement and revenue growth. In this role you will position Marston’s as a trusted and best in class brand local pub company.Reporting line and team structure:
- This role reports into the Director of Marketing – Brand Activation and sits within the Brand Activation team of the Commercial Marketing function
You will be responsible for: * Supporting with delivering our annual marketing plans and coordinating the creation of marketing content and campaigns
- Implementing this content across key printed and digital touchpoints to enhance visibility and guest engagement in pub
- Managing a complex matrix of pub level marketing information and requirements, making sure there are robust processes in place to guarantee high levels of accuracy
- Creating engaging briefs and communications to our operators and pub teams. ensuring high levels of compliance and flawless delivery of our national plans at a local level
- Managing self-serve local marketing toolkits and platforms to ensure pubs can promote their events to their local community
- Collaborating with internal teams and external agencies to deliver campaigns to a high quality, on time and within budget
- Ensuring all marketing materials comply with format specific brand guidelines and maintain a consistent tone of voice and visual identity across all channels
- Handling administrative tasks such as PO raising and budget tracking
About you
- Ideally 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role
- An understanding and appreciation of hospitality, retail or consumer facing environments would be a plus
- Hands on experience in planning and executing marketing campaigns across a range of channels
- Can bring to life ideas and campaigns creatively but can also appreciate the need for aligning with brand guidelines
- You love to be organised and thrive when managing multiple campaigns and stakeholder simultaneously
- You thrive in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
- A team player who can work cross functionally and collaborate effectively but can also work independently when needed
- You’re obsessed with the detail and ensure your work is always executed flawlessly
- You can address challenges and propose innovative marketing solutions
- Excellent written and verbal communication and strong interpersonal skills
