The University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg invites applications for a non-tenure-stream position in Spanish at the rank of Assistant Professor to begin August 2024. Candidates must have an Ed.D., a superior command of both spoken and written Spanish and English, as well as experience using gaming and technology in teaching Spanish. Other requirements include familiarity with pedagogical and technological advances in the areas of second language teaching, digital humanities, the ability to promote Hispanic history and culture in the classroom, and demonstrated interdisciplinary interests in collaborative cross-disciplinary teaching. A successful record of undergraduate teaching experience is required. 

 

Pitt-Greensburg values candidates with a commitment to in-person undergraduate teaching, campus and community service, and experience in working with diverse groups. Successful candidates should be prepared to teach a 5/5 load (typically 15 credits per semester). Additionally, candidates should be prepared to devote time to service and professional growth as part of their appointment and expectations of reappointment.
