This General Contractor is looking for an Assistant Project Manager to join their growing team. In this role you will assist with a Project Manager of all stagees of the project. You will plan and designate project resources, prepare budgets, monitor progress, and keep stakeholders informed the entire way.Key Responsibilities of an Assistant Project Manager include:

  • Work directly with project managers to help implement project goals
  • Assign duties to staff to implement project goals, as needed
  • Oversee variable aspects of projects and provide direct assistance to ensure timely project execution
  • Overview project goals and ensure project goals are achievable
  • Liaise with project lead and other project managers to maintain project schedule and efficacy
  • Assist with procuring materials and other items necessary for completing project goals
  • Review project implementation and gather data on project execution
  • Coordinate with project managers and other project leads following project execution

  • 2+ years of construction or project management experience in related markets
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Project Management, Architecture, Engineering or equivalent
  • Strong organizational skills; candidate should be energized by working with different teams, both internal and external
  • Ability to multi-task and work on multiple projects and teams concurrently. Comfortable learning new software platforms to track and organize project information
  • Technical background with understanding of building engineering and commercial projects; prior experience in commercial projects
  • Detailed knowledge of resource planning and financial planning
  • Proficient experience with management/ accounting software, i.e. Jira, Primavera, Smartsheets
  • Excellent writing, organization, and communication skills
  • Positive attitude and ability to navigate in a fast pace environment
  • General knowledge of construction principles and practices
  • Team player that’s passionate about innovation and driven to optimize and build better buildings and products

While there projects are nationwide- you will work in their Twin City office, and travel to jobsites on occasion. They are seeking candidates with extensive ground up or TI construction experience, hungry to learn and willing to grow.
