By joining the team you will participate in maintaining, developing and growing the business by assisting the Portfolio Manager in an efficient and professional manner.As an invaluable internal and external point of contact, you will play a key role in maintaining client accounts, ensuring account administration and documentation remains up-to-date and compliant and working with a Portfolio Manager in managing client portfolios and wealth management planning opportunities.What will you do?
- Responsible for the professional servicing of incoming telephone and email contacts from clients, advisors, and other internal and external partners
- Support the Portfolio Manager in general administrative duties in the management of client accounts
- Support the Portfolio Manager in the preparation of client reviews and presentations
- Request information and documentation from clients in order to open accounts and keep client files up to date
- Monitor all pending transfers to ensure completion on a timely basis
- Maintain client households in accordance with the agreed upon Investment Policy Statement and within the respective account’s Know Your Client information
- Assists with upholding advisory team’s business plan, client service plan, and review schedule.
- Update client info in the team’s contact management system. Maintain a record of client details, interactions, meeting notes, and identified opportunities for follow-up. •
- Coordinate meetings and events for Advisors with clients and prospects – help establish meeting agenda; assemble documents, key notes, and discussion points for advisory team; execute post-meeting work or ensure it is delegated to the appropriate person.
- Provide proactive client service with a focus on problem resolution and attention to details. Liaise with various departments for execution, where necessary.
- Manage special projects for the team, including regulatory projects requiring account documentation updates or client communications and firm-led initiatives, ie. eStatement campaign
- Respond to general client inquiries (account transactions, requests for tax receipts, account reporting, etc.)
- Maintain existing client accounts and identify opportunities to contact clients
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
- Canadian Securities Course (CSC) and Conduct and Practices Handbook Course (CPH)
- Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills
- Meticulous attention to detail and excellent time management skills
- Demonstrated skills in providing world-class client service that will come across as professional, warm, and friendly to our clients
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English
- Wealth Management Experience
Nice-to-have
- Knowledge of RBC Dominion Securities’ systems and procedures, an asset
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in securities industry
