As an Associate – Business Management within USCM COO Office, he/she will apply in-depth project management skills and experience to lead the planning and delivery of critical initiatives within USCM Billing & Statements workstream.
The right candidate will have strong communication skills, ability to work with a myriad of cross-functional teams, excellent at project planning and delivery and be goal oriented in a fast-moving environment focused on the client experience.
The US Cash Management USCM) Business is a unique opportunity to build the cash management business of the future from the ground up. This is an exciting time to join a start-up function within RBC, built from scratch and anchored in a technical/digital play vs. a traditional play, enabling RBC to compete with new entrants in this space. Great opportunity to join a growing team focused on building the best-in-class cash management business.
What will you do?
Lead and manage projects within USCM Billing & Statements workstream by:
- Acting as a key Billing & Statements touchpoint for the Program team
- Developing and managing end-to-end delivery plans ensuring adherence to project schedules and completion of project goals
- Tracking / monitoring action items to closure
- Mitigating risks and identifying and escalating issues for resolution
- Change Management and setting up appropriate governance and oversight
- Management reporting and status updates for senior leadership and all stakeholders (SteerCo / PIs etc.)
- Active stakeholder / team management and co-ordination
- Financial budgeting and tracking
- Developing subject matter expertise in the area of the Project / Program Management
What is required to succeed?
Must Have
- Undergraduate degree with 5+ years of project management experience in financial services domain, specifically Cash/Treasury Management or Corporate/Transaction Banking
- Advanced understanding of project management frameworks and principles; Expert knowledge of project plan development & management, Agile, waterfall and iterative methodologies, program and project metrics and status reporting
- Strategic thinker with demonstrated experience delivering large, cross-enterprise programs and projects
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; good team player & leader
- Ability to work with and manage numerous stakeholders in various areas of the organization
- Results oriented with ability to work effectively under consistent time and workload pressures
- Ability to work autonomously and deal with ambiguity
- Experience using JIRA, Confluence, SharePoint
- Understanding of Agile methodology
Nice-to-have
- PMP and/or PgMP certification or equivalent-preferred
- Good understanding of Cash Management products and flows, specifically payments, product pricing, costing, billing, statements & collections
