We set ourselves apart by delivering innovative ideas and strategies, advanced technology and objective, timely analysis covering a large universe of companies, industries, products and geographies.Overview of RoleThe Canada Corporate Banking team is looking for an experienced Banking Associate in Toronto. As an active team member, this individual would assist coverage bankers in the delivery of the full breadth of products and services to clients and prospects. This role will provide the successful candidate with the opportunity for client interaction over a period of time.ResponsibilitiesThe duties of this role will include but are not limited to the below:Perform various financial analyses, including merger/acquisition analysis, capital structure analysis and assessment of credit qualityDevelop and maintain complex financial models that are used in the preparation of client materials and internal approval memosReview credit agreements and indentures to analyze covenants, baskets and other relevant restrictionsCommunicate and interact with both core and extended client team members from various product groups to build comprehensive client presentations and ensure seamless client deliveryParticipate in client meetings, portfolio planning sessions and product partner meetings and be able to identify ideas and cross-sell opportunities; perform various financial analyses, capital structure analysis and assessment of credit qualityWill have active responsibility of completing all client related internal processes like KYC and regulatory requirementsBe able to navigate and assist in internal processes including but not limited to capital commitment approvals, client onboarding and ongoing customer due diligenceResponsible for ongoing MIS reporting including revenue tracking, client strategy and pipeline reportsManage several projects at once and work effectively as an individual and as part of a teamAssist the Corporate Banking Relationship Manager with the execution and implementation of client transactions.Required SkillsBachelor’s degree with outstanding academic qualifications3+ years relevant experience in banking or accountingMust have a combination of strong quantitative/analytical skills, attention to detail and client focusStrategic and creative thinking; distinguished written and verbal communications skillsAssertiveness, initiative, leadership, strong work ethic, team focusRequired to manage multiple projects at the same time and work effectively both individually and as part of a teamCapable of working effectively both independently and with multiple teams/individualsAbility to learn quickly and take on new responsibilitiesProficient level of MS Excel and PowerPointDedication to building a career in corporate bankingKnowledge of Financial Institutions, Asset Managers and Governments would be an asset.SkillsBenchmarkingDue DiligenceFinancial AnalysisFinancial Forecasting and ModelingPresentation SkillsAnalytical ThinkingBusiness AnalyticsNetworkingResearch AnalysisRisk ModelingCustomer and Client FocusData and Trend AnalysisRelationship BuildingScenario Planning and AnalysisWhat Bank of America OffersBank of America embodies a culture that extends from how we think, to how we behave, and to how we measure performance.
