Job Summary .Job DescriptionWHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?Are you looking for a highly visible role in a fast paced organization? As a Business Manager within RBC’s Capital Markets Technology group, you bring the ability to effectively partner with internal clients and business stakeholders to drive effective stakeholder reporting and transparency.The Associate Director will support key Business management activities for all of BCS Technology, providing transparency to senior BCS (Tech and Ops) and QTS Executives. The Business Manager will work collaboratively with QTS business managers, technology heads, front office counterparts and CM Finance to ensure our financials are predictable, transparent and in alignment with the expectations of senior managementWHAT WILL YOU DO?Financial Reporting and AnalyticsCreation of all monthly/standard reporting for our portfolio (project, transit, IT, OE, NIE, etc.). Manage the accuracy and timeliness of all cost allocations used for reporting actuals as well as planning and forecasting. TCO Analytics – Multi-Year tracking / trends/ Allocation Model validation, refinement, variance research / explanations across QTS. Oversight and management of any reporting adjustments for portfolio. Oversight and management for any cross-border entries for portfolioPresentation/analysis of all monthly/standard reporting on monthly basis to Directors and Managing Directors. Report progress in regular meetings and through formal reporting to all groups.Assist with annual planning process and any ad hoc financial, vendor or risk management reporting. Collaborate with various groups across Capital Markets (e.g. Finance, HR, Procurement, etc.)Various ad-hoc financials reporting for senior leadership. Support BMs in preparing decks for Business ReviewsProject Governance. Assist in the implementation of platform controls with a focus on enhancing governance, ensuring data integrity and accurate reporting.Support and consult with project managers and deployment managers on project issues, status and tracking requirements across the portfolio.WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?Must have:10+ years working in Financial Planning and ManagementExpert level knowledge of MS Excel & PowerPointDemonstrated experience in financial reporting, modelling, forecasting, budgeting and analysisAnalysis and monitoring of KPI’sExperience leading annual budget processProven written and verbal ability to work and communicate with varying levels of seniorityNice-to-have:Accounting designation (CPA, CA, CGA, CMA)Capital Markets/ Banking experienceAudit experiencePeople and project management skillsStrong understanding of the business drivers of performance and outcome measures of RBC’s businessesWhat’s in it for you?We thrive on the challenge to be our best, progressive thinking to keep growing, and working together to deliver trusted advice to help our clients thrive and communities prosper.
