Job SummaryJob DescriptionWhat is the opportunity?the Associate Director, FRO Data & Business Solutions will work closely with Product Owners and development teams, to promote the growth and continuous improvement of digital channels through in-depth control and management of all key projects, enhancements, upgrades, and changes to Capital Measurement & Reporting Platforms.The role will primarily encompass Product & Delivery Management responsibilities focused on ensure appropriate & agile prioritization, thorough planning, coordinated execution, and organized packaging & delivery. Operating on behalf of the business product owner, role must operate and traverse through various groups interacting with Capital domain including internal Capital team coordination, planning & managing IT deliverables & costs, engage upstream data providers, communicate with downstream utilizers of Capital data, and engage external vendors & service providers.Role is specifically within the Capital measurement and reporting domain and candidate will be working with large complex data structures which require an ability to learn and operate within the business domain knowledge to successfully navigate and provide insights on.What you will do?Work alongside product owner(s) to manage development of, planning, prioritization, & implementation of key initiatives and projects related to Regulatory Capital Measurement & Reporting.Management & prioritization of external bank projects impacting Regulatory Capital data pipelines & infrastructure.Actively seeking to maintain engagement with key stakeholders on all major bank projects to establish key point of contact for Regulatory Capital team and to remain engaged with programs.Strong communication & engagement with various RBC departments and teams with objective to seek new opportunities which would benefit the business objectives of Regulatory Capital team.Produce structured intake & prioritization with Senior Management with objective to generate an implementation plan of all initiatives related to Regulatory Capital.Distribute & coordinate all planned initiatives with IT partners while consolidating and addressing IT feedback to deliver goals set out by business.Manage internal coordination of Regulatory Capital group (FRO) to ensure timely delivery of requirements, completion of UATs, and ensure completion of all E2E business activities required under standard IT change management procedures.Utilize vision & foresight to guide all key stakeholders through rapidly changing & dynamic environment allowing for smooth transitioning/pivoting when required to do so.Key contributor in validation of IT work efforts estimations, review of annual budget projections, vendor invoice management, and other cost management activities for Regulatory Capital applications.Build critical understanding of Capital domain at large banks and be a strong voice in the group to continuously drive business value.What you need to succeed?
Must-have

  • 3+ years experience in related finance/accounting, data analytics, business analysis, or project/delivery management in similar banking domains with specific experience areas such as project delivery, product ownership, product enhancement deliveries, business domain development and planning.
  • BBA/BComm or above in finance, accounting, economics or related business field. Open to other educational backgrounds with relevant experience.
  • Proficient knowledge of SQL.
  • Experience & skilled with project delivery tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Project Place/Planview, etc.
  • Ability & confidence to produce presentation views for Senior Management reporting via tools like MS Powerpoint, Tableau, Power BI, Project Place, etc.
  • Understanding of business analytics, data mining, experimentation and measurement.
  • Interest in learning and developing knowledge in finance/Capital domain in corporate banking
