Job SummaryJob DescriptionThe Futures Clearing IT group within RBC Capital Markets’ Quantitative and Technology Services organization supports the Capital Markets client clearing business and associated functional groups globally. The technical platform comprises vendor hosted clearing and back-office applications and several internally developed and supported services that are tightly integrated. This core technical platform interfaces to SEF’s, futures exchanges, clearing houses and enterprise applications and provides all trade processing related capability to support the business, operations and regulatory reporting obligations. As the Lead Business Analyst, you will be a key part of an energetic and skilled business and client facing team, having accountability for driving and supporting client facing business initiatives and operational projects; analyzing and determining technical solutions that support overall strategy and contribute to our combined success.What will you do?Coordinate and engage directly with business, operations, vendor and IT stakeholders to perform requirements, data and solution analysis for clearing related development and support items.Prioritize and manage the backlog of requests with sales and BCS teams. Facilitate dialogue between stakeholder groups on relative priorities. Ensure stakeholders are providing enough direction to maintain a healthy backlog of development-ready storiesSupport delivery of wider backlog items with documenting detailed specifications and assisting with prioritization for the developers at team stand-ups.Support BA’s, project managers and developers; working closely with them as a team to ensure they are productive and have support they need.Facilitate dialogue between stakeholder groups on relative priorities. Ensure stakeholders are providing enough direction to maintain a healthy backlog of sprint-ready stories.As a part of performing business analysis when defining requirements and solutions, perform data analysis on relevant internal / exchange / clearing datasets.In this role, you will communicate and interact frequently with RBC partners and/or employees located across Canada and/or worldwide.What do you need to succeed?Must have:Undergraduate degree coupled with at least 7 years’ experience in a Senior Business Analysis roleMinimum 2 years’ experience in Capital Markets or Financial/Banking industryExperience working with business and cross functional stakeholdersInquisitive and strong analytical thinker, proficient in SQL & Data analysisExperience with end user engagement & driving solutionsNice-to-have:ION XTP / XTP Clear (or similar ETD clearing or back-office platform) experienceFutures clearing or back office operational experienceExperience in secured financing trading applicationsManagement & team lead experienceWhat’s in it for you?We thrive on the challenge to be our best, progressive thinking to keep growing, and working together to deliver trusted advice to help our clients thrive and communities prosper.
