The Associate Director of Analytics will drive data strategy and analytics across the Development & Communications team, focusing on turning complex data into actionable insights that enhance fundraising, marketing, and communications efforts. This role will collaborate closely with internal teams, including fundraising, marketing, and communications, to ensure data is leveraged effectively to optimize donor engagement and revenue growth. In addition, the Associate Director will manage the development and evolution of a data warehouse, ensuring seamless data integration from platforms such as Raiser’s Edge NXT, Luminate, and GA4.The successful candidate will also lead the troubleshooting of data issues, partner with external agencies exchanging data with Project HOPE, and support ongoing system improvements, making data accessible and impactful across the organization.PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead data analytics and reporting efforts to provide actionable, full-file insights that guide decision-making across fundraising, marketing, and communications teams.
- Collaborate with the Development & Communications team to define data needs, identify key performance metrics, and support data-driven strategies to improve donor engagement and revenue.
- Build and manage a data warehouse from scratch, integrating data from Raiser’s Edge NXT, Luminate, GA4, and other platforms.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive reports and dashboards using Power BI and other tools to ensure data transparency and accessibility.
- Work closely with technical support team to articulate data infrastructure requirements and drive set-up.
- Troubleshoot data-related issues, and ensure the integrity and accuracy of the data systems.
- Partner closely with Raiser’s Edge Database Manager to optimize data handling
- Continuously improve and refine data processes, analytics, and tools to meet evolving organizational needs.
- Performs other duties and participates in special projects as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (data science, analytics, computer science, etc.).
- 7+ years of experience in fundraising and marketing data analysis, with a focus on Raiser’s Edge, Raiser’s Edge NXT, and Luminate Online or similar.
- Proven experience building and managing data warehouses.
- Expertise in data visualization and reporting tools like Power BI.
- Familiarity with programming languages used for data manipulation such as SQL, DAX, M, R, and Python.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, vendors, and consultants and maintain strong and productive working relationships
- Excellent oral and written communications skills, and highly effective at listening, asking relevant questions, and accurately synthesizing stakeholder needs
- Excellent professional judgment, able to triage and prioritize requests effectively
- Excellent attention to details and highly organized
- Proven experience building and managing data warehouses.
- Strong ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and work with technical support teams.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and project management skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience troubleshooting data issues in Luminate.
- Experience partnering with external agencies that provide analytical and reporting services.
- If remote or hybrid, able to travel to Washington, D.C. Mon-Fri periodically over the year for key meetings and retreats

Salary range starting at $111,000 USD per year based on candidates residing in the US. Compensation for the role is dependent on several factors including a candidate’s location, qualifications, skills, and experience.
