So, join our Public Policy team to support the future of the business, our clients and our industry and feel like you’re part of something bigger.
About your team
The Public Policy team sits within the General Council division of Fidelity International. The group collaborates extensively across the organisation, deriving priorities from the business. The team in particular works closely with the Compliance, Pensions Policy, Sustainable Investing, Enterprise Relationship management and CEO office teams. We work together to drive the policy debate, direction, and outcomes in key jurisdictions so that our clients can continue to build better financial futures and our business can operate efficiently in the years to come.
About your role
The purpose of the Public Policy group at Fidelity International is to understand, interpret, and influence policy matters that are relevant to Fidelity’s business success. We do this through:
- Process: manage a centralised process used to support policy influence and policy maker engagement across the globe. We understand the business strategy, the policy changes that are impacting this strategy. We partner with the business to develop positions and then an engagement strategy to support the needed developments. We then share our positions and our progress against achieving our goals.
- Partner: to be effective, we partner internally and externally to understand the landscape and then prioritise our efforts where we can be impactful. We work closely with internal business stakeholders as well as with external associations, government departments and regulators to drive results.
- Prioritise: we ruthlessly prioritise our policy efforts, focusing on business priorities where we can influence and areas where we want to be visible.
- Engage: externally we engage extensively with governments, regulators and trade associations.
