The team develops marketing programs, campaigns and sales tools to support the growth of the PW business inclusive of Private Banking, Wood Gundy, CIBC Private Investment Counsel, CIBC Trust and CIBC Family Office. The Team is the primary point of contact for PW, providing leadership within PW with business stakeholders and ensuring alignment with business priorities.As Associate, PW Business Marketing you will be supporting day-to-day marketing and communication efforts for the PW brand and its flagship offerings on a national level. The successful candidate will support the PW Business Marketing Team with the development, packaging and implementation of strategies, campaigns, messaging and programs to grow and retain assets. To increase the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the firm’s resources, the candidate will also contribute to new continuous improvement ideas and initiatives within the team to ensure the best outcomes are delivered to internal partners, business partners and our clients.At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.How You’ll Succeed
- Business Marketing- Contribute and manage the delivery and execution of PW strategic and tactical annual marketing plans through developing and implementing a range of best-in-class marketing initiatives. Identify specific opportunities, working directly with team members and key stakeholders to execute relevant tactics. Producing marketing strategies and plans to business objectives. Remaining current with rapidly evolving financial services industry trends and ability to assess impact strategy and marketing positioning. Managing the creation and execution of Private Wealth Marketing materials. This includes liaising with internal business and agency partners in the creation, formatting and regular updates of: brochures, profile sheets, newsletters, invitations, fact sheets, presentations and other templates. Executing HTML design for electronic initiatives, and developing graphic design elements for online publishing is a plus. Leading the delivery of small to mid scale marketing programs applying knowledge and skills to support marketing and communications plans.
- Project and Program Management- Ability to manage multiple tasks in parallel with a strategic view of overall marketing programs and business strategy. Balancing the needs of multiple stakeholders in the most effective and efficient manner, with the ability to meet tight delivery timelines. Ensuring close collaboration and leverage internal partners including digital, content strategy, events and experiences, communications and translations teams to ensure effective triage and intake of content creation and smooth execution. Delivering against marketing plans and requests on time with flawless execution within scope. Ensuring regular updates to our digital platforms as required and communicate campaign results/metrics. Proactively provide recommendations to streamline and scale marketing processes. Upholding compliance, brand and accessibility requirements. Executing deployment of relevant research reports to stakeholders and coordination of Wood Gundy IA client survey.
- Business Acumen- Knowledge of the wealth management industry, with a strong understanding of Advisor needs, market behaviours and economic trends. Build and maintain a solid level of knowledge on the PW business and distributions channels.
Who You Are
- You excel at communicating to all levels, with the ability to tailor a verbal or written message to varied internal and external audiences, and convey complex conceptual information and ideas on subjects that may not be well understood or that involve extensive interpretation and opinion.
- You demonstrate 5+ years of Financial Services experience and knowledge of the fundamentals of capital markets, with an academic background and interest in marketing and financial services. During this time, you have used MS Excel, PPT and Word to analyze and convey information in various ways.
