We are active, present, and engaged in the markets we finance including healthcare, condo, and strata, (repair and maintenance), renewable energy, commercial/corporate and structured program financing.The opportunityAs an Associate, you will play a crucial role in supporting members of the Program Finance team in the origination, structuring, execution, administration, and portfolio management of structured credit facilities. Program Finance provides highly structured financing facilities for various early stage and established mid-market non-bank financing entities.Ideally, you will have a strong background in financial modeling and a high proficiency in Excel, including VBA for macro creation, which is a must for the role. You will also have finance background or a STEM degree. You should also be interested in current economic trends, developments in Fintech, and all things consumer lending. If this is you, we look forward to speaking with you.What you’ll be doingAssist in the preparation of internal credit submissions (i.e. company, industry and financial analysis and modeling) and other documentation related to the transaction approval processAssist with internal credit administration, including monitoring the team’s loan portfolio performance and market/industry conditionsIdentify financial risks and emerging trends within our portfolio and covered asset classes.Understand market conditions affecting clients and maintain awareness of general economic conditions to manage risks effectively.Coordinate with clients to ensure timely receipt of necessary ad-hoc information for reviewsSuccessful incumbent2-5 years’ work experience in a related field, including commercial lending, finance and/or risk management.Bachelor’s Degree in commerce, finance, accounting or a related field of studyMBA, CFA or CPA professional designation (completed or near completion) would be an assetStrong analytical skills with a proven ability to assess risk and make informed recommendationsA business development focus, with a keen eye for identifying growth opportunitiesProficiency in computer systems and business modeling tools, including a high proficiency in Excel, including VBA for macro creationWhy work with us?Your success is our obsession!
