Essential Duties

  • Develop and oversee UN Foundation’s cross-channel communications and engagement strategy and plans to advance organizational goals.
  • Work closely with other team leaders to ensure content is goal-focused, aligned with work program and objectives and consistent–, both as part of our marketing communications strategy and leveraging opportunities in the news cycle,
  • Manage the UN Foundation’s content, editorial, media and digital specialists, fostering an enjoyable, collaborative environment, helping to improve workflow process and ensuring harmonious delivery of top-quality content on time and within budget.
  • Build first-rate communications processes that create efficiency across workstreams and the Foundation’s communications team, more broadly.
  • Plan and execute integrated marketing communications strategies, often with partners, for high level global events.
  • Oversee functionality, efficiency, tone and relevance of all UN Foundation digital channels including website, email and social.
  • Lead overall digital marketing strategy and oversee our marketing budget, across all channels, including paid, earned, and owned; also help build in-house expertise in digital marketing.
  • Lead on communications measurement and reporting, in line with overall communications strategy, and monitor and optimize digital strategy based on findings.
  • Represent the communications team to senior UNF leaders, and UNF to external audiences, including our Digital Collective community of practice, helping to position UNF as leaders in global communications

This is a hybrid (in office and remote) position.Required:

  • Masters in Public Relations/Corporate Communications + 7 years’ experience pre or post degree with increasing seniority in digital communications, including both editorial and marketing.
  • Experience must include:
  • Managing and inspiring teams to work effectively and creatively
  • Designing innovative marketing communication strategies that demonstrate ROI and support overall organizational goals
  • Using metrics and analytics to drive strategy and increase engagement
  • Utilizing paid digital media services such as Google Adwords, Outbrain, Facebook for Business and Twitter for Business to drive digital growth and engagement with key audiences
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills required, with sharp attention to detail, and solid judgment
