Job SummaryJob DescriptionWhat is the opportunity?The RBC Dominion Securities Ambleside branch located in West Vancouver is seeking an Associate to provide administrative support to a successful Advisory Team.You will provide quality client service and help deepen relationships with existing clients through ongoing, efficient support to both clients and the Advisor Team.What will you do?

  • Team lead, co-ordinate, execute, follow up team’s WM & Insurance strategy, includes diary system to ensure timely update of financial plans, will & estate reviews etc.
  • Support the advisor as needed with WM discussions and meetings with his list of clients
  • Complete myGPS plans for clients of team, includes information gathering, input and joint or individual presentations
  • Attend all meetings with WM professionals and clients of team, taking notes and leading post-meeting debrief with WM professionals, ensuring there is clarity on next steps, accountabilities and timelines
  • Assist the advisor with relationship Management of his list of clients as needed
  • Portfolio review prep for assigned list of clients and review planned recommendations/changes with the advisor prior to discussions with clients
  • Assist the advisor with marketing and profiling the North Shore Wealth Management Value Proposition
  • Growth of assigned client relationships (asset consolidation/monetization, referrals, additional family members etc.)
  • Maintain and update Opportunities list for all Clients and prospects
  • Keep up to date on client onboarding systems and other administrative systems to provide vacation coverage if needed for the Senior Administrator for the Advisor.

What do you need to succeed?Must-have

  • Canadian Securities Course (CSC) and Conduct and Practices Handbook Course (CPH)
  • 2-5 years securities industry experience
  • Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills
  • High level of time management and organization skills
  • Demonstrated skills in providing world-class client service that will come across as professional, warm, and friendly to our clients
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

  • Knowledge of RBC Dominion Securities’ systems and procedures
