Job DescriptionRole: Autism Support SpecialistService: Adult Day ServicesLocation: DublinJob Type: PermanentSalary: €52,441-€61,241TTM Healthcare is currently recruiting for an Autism Support Specialist to come and join one of Ireland’s Leading Disability Services in the heart of Dublin. Under the direction of the Day Service Manager and in partnership with Dublin Adult Day Services teams, the Transition Coordinator for Autism Supports will spend a significant amount of time working with individuals with a diagnosis of ASD who are in a period of transition. The role will involve exploring available resources and opportunities to ensure people who use the service have access to appropriate support in line with their wishes and preferencesOverview of Role:

  • Ensure that all staff working in the assigned area of responsibility adhere to their professional code of conduct and operate within their scope of practice
  • Ensure that any concerns for the safety and welfare of people we support are reported promptly
  • Ensure a holistic model of service delivery for people who use the service which is consistent with a Person-Centred approach
  • Ensure that the rights of each service-supported individual under the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Intellectual Disability is upheld
  • Be familiar with all Policies and Procedures, particularly those pertaining to individuals’ safety and welfare

Key Requirements:

  • QQI Level 8 or higher award (equivalent to 60 ECTS or above) that is relevant to the specialist area
  • Postgraduate qualification/relevant experience in Autism led services-Essential
  • A full clean driving license and access to own car – Essential
  • Have a knowledge of New Directions
  • Have excellent organisational, motivational, interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work on their initiative and effectively manage their time.
  • Have proven leadership skills
  • Candidates must have the requisite knowledge and ability (including a high standard of suitability and management ability for the proper discharge of the duties of the office).
