About the RoleThe Electronic Equipment Services (EES) team provides advanced technical support to the campus and requires the assistance of an AV support casual to work on summer capital projects and assist with other associated activities. Under the direction of the Manager of Technical Client Services and EES technical lead, this is a full time casual position in audio-visual hardware supporting university AV projects over a three month term.Responsibilities

  • Perform cable pulls, crimp, and terminate audio and video cables.
  • Assist with structural installation of displays, screens, and projectors.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to climb a ladder up to 10 ft without issue.
  • Execute installation tasks as directed by the Project Coordinator.
  • Work alongside other team members to accomplish the project with respect and a cooperative spirit.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of a high school diploma.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

  • The ability to self-motivate.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • The ability to work well under minimal supervision.
  • Time management skills.
  • Customer service oriented.
  • Technical knowledge, sufficient for setup and troubleshooting of AV equipment.
