And we do all this with an unrivalled sense of urgency that our clients love about us.The opportunityThe AVP & Deputy Manager will provide effective leadership for the business development team in our banking centre in Downtown Edmonton. This role creates, implements, and drives team accountability with an effective sales management strategy while monitoring & optimizing efficiency, fostering a high-performance environment. This role will coach and mentor the team in sourcing full-service banking relationships and financial solutions while building & maintaining a portfolio of large, sophisticated commercial clients. As the primary delegate to the Market Lead, this role could serve as location leader for locations that comprise a district.Areas of focusClient experience. Business growth & Sales activation. You will undertake the gamut in sales activities while cultivating a mix of client accounts and drive team results to obtain targets in annual loans, deposits, cash management, revenue, and new to branch clients.Risk management. Together with the commercial credit team, you will apply your risk assessment skills to ensure appropriate measures are put into place and risk assessment protocols and structures are implemented, while balancing risk and reward within CWB’s risk appetite.Team leadership. Deliver results.Core know-how & experience requirementsResults leadership with dynamic teams, as a result of your proven experience (15 years) in the development, implementation, and execution of profitable sales strategies in a commercial lending role and environment. Supporting education includes an undergraduate degree in commerce, finance, or accounting fields.
