We are seeking to recruit a specialist Duty Worker for 3 days per week to work as part of the Adult Community Mental Health Service based in Watford. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced, Registered Nurse, Social Worker or Occupational Therapist.The post holder will be based at Colne House and the role will be spread over 3 days (this can be decided by the postholder). Main duties include but are not limited to; managing and responding to requests from service users, carers and other stakeholders for urgent support or advice. This may involve undertaking face to face initial assessments and / or welfare visits and the assessment of risks and liaison with other HPFT services and teams.This is both a challenging and rewarding position where good communication and organisational skills are required. Support and advice is provided by the Duty Manager who you will be working closely with and other senior staff including the medical team.Applicants should be able to demonstrate the ability to work well within a team, prioritise and manage own workload and display initiative whilst maintaining a positive, professional and calm approach.The Adult Community Mental Health team is a large and busy team providing care and support to Adults of working age who are experiencing mental health difficulties that are impacting on their lives and daily functioning.
