  • Salary: $50,000 – $60,000 plus commissions

ResponsibilitiesEssential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all banquet functions from organization to execution, including delegation of responsibilities; including creation of Maps for Clients
  • Work closely with Front of the House restaurant operations and other property events when needed
  • Ensures excellence in guest satisfaction through effective training of staff, commitment to a “Do Whatever It Takes” attitude” and a hands-on, lead by example management style
  • Responsible for inventorying all banquet supplies and equipment
  • Manage POS system to ensure all Event Invoicing and payment processing is handled impeccably
  • Partner with local vendors to secure appropriate rentals for varied equipment / supplies
  • Manage hiring and oversight of banquet staff to include training, scheduling and development; in addition, arranging for temporary staffing as needed
  • Conduct client visits that are targeted and meaningful to build private dining sales

QualificationsRequirements

  • At least 3 years of restaurant, event or banquet management experience in a restaurant or hotel operation
  • Ability to write business correspondences and understand full details laid out on Banquet Event Orders (BEO’s)
  • Ability to coordinate and communicate in a professional manner with all departments, guests, clients and outside vendors
  • Knowledge of presentation audio / visual technology is a plus
  • Stable and progressive work history; Strong work ethic
