Do you have experience in support work, sports coaching, or outdoor activities?We are seeking a Behaviour Support Worker to join a specialist school in Chorley on a temporary-to-permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals from youth work, social care, sports coaching, or outdoor education backgrounds who want to make a positive impact on young people’s lives.Role Overview:

  • Supporting students with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs.
  • Providing 1:1 and small group interventions to help students manage behaviour and emotions.
  • Encouraging engagement in sports, outdoor learning, and structured activities to support emotional well-being.
  • Working closely with teachers, therapists, and pastoral staff to create a positive learning environment.

Who We Are Looking For:

  • A confident, patient, and resilient individual who can build strong relationships with students.
  • Experience in support work, coaching, or outdoor activities is desirable but not essential.
  • A genuine passion for helping young people overcome challenges and succeed.
  • Willingness to undertake training and professional development.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
