Are you an experienced Youth Worker, Teaching Assistant or Support worker seeking a new challenge? Do you take pride in supporting young people with social, emotional and mental health conditions (SEMH) to overcome barriers to learning? If you’ve answered yes, then we would love to hear from you!

A Harrogate based provision which caters for children aged 4 to 16 with ADHD, Autism and SEMH are seeking a Behaviour Support Worker to join their team. They are looking for a Behaviour Support Worker who can start after the February half term until the end of the academic year and has characteristics like resilience, empathy, creativity and problem-solving.

As a Behaviour Support Worker, you will be supporting children with mild challenging behaviour which will require you to develop a strong rapport with the children. This will enable you to understand their needs, triggers and what captures their imagination.

You will work alongside numerous Support Staff and the class Teacher in managing the behaviour of the pupils and encouraging them to engage in their learning.

Previous experience of supporting adults or children with challenging behaviour is desired as this will aid you in providing the best support to the pupils.
