Year 6 Behaviour Teaching AssistantLocation: Chorley, Lancashire.
Position: Year 6 Behaviour Teaching Assistant.
Start Date: September 2024.
Type: Full-time, Term-time only.
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience.The Role: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Year 6 Behaviour Teaching Assistant to start in September 2024. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting students with behavioural needs, helping them to achieve their full potential.Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Year 6 teacher to support students with behavioural challenges.
- Implement and monitor behaviour management strategies and individualised support plans.
- Assist in creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Provide one-on-one and small group support to students as needed.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external agencies to ensure a cohesive approach to student support.
- Monitor and record student progress and provide feedback to the teaching staff.
- Promote positive behaviour and help students develop social and emotional skills.
- Assist with classroom activities, including preparing materials and resources.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children in an educational setting, particularly with behaviour management.
- A genuine passion for supporting children’s development and well-being.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Relevant qualifications in education or child development (desirable).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
