Position: Behavioural Teaching Assistant
Location: Central Stockport, Primary School
Contract Type: Full-time, Long-term (with potential for permanent school contract)
Start Date: Immediate
About the Role:
As a Behavioural Teaching Assistant, you will be working in a behavioural room, providing dedicated 1:1 support to children with SEMH needs. You will play a crucial role in delivering targeted interventions, implementing behaviour management strategies, and fostering a supportive learning environment where every child can reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with SEMH children on a 1:1 basis, providing tailored support and guidance
- Implement effective behaviour management techniques to promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation
- Collaborate with teachers and SENCO to develop and implement individualised support plans
- Monitor progress and adapt interventions accordingly to ensure continuous improvement
- Foster a nurturing and inclusive environment that promotes social and emotional well-being
Requirements:
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
- Proven experience working with children with SEMH needs
- Excellent behaviour management skills
- DBS on the update service
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
