Our employees understand and live by our values which breeds passion and quality to the forefront of performance where our culture is fair and good work is rewarded.Given our growth strategy and workload, we are looking to add a Bid Manager/Writer from an infrastructure construction background to our already strong team.We are looking for someone who is resourceful, with a resilient mindset, excellent time and work load management skills with experience as a Bid Manager in the infrastructure sectors. This is a very fast paced environment where success is celebrated but hard is work is required to achieve this.The Bid Manager plays a crucial role in achieving the Business Plan objective and targets for secured and pipeline revenue, essential for profitability and winning business contracts. As the architect of meticulously crafted bids, the Bid Manager orchestrates winning proposals, weaving expertise from across and beyond the business to find the best solutions that meet our client’s needs. You will do this through:
- Assembling and Managing Bid Teams
- End-to-End Bid Process Ownership
- Strategic Planning
- Commercial Oversight
The ideal candidate will be someone who has the ability to communicate and build relationships effectively with all stakeholders, with a view to repeat business from our client base.The individual will be a dedicated worker who has the ability to work independently and make important decisions when necessary, experience in writing for bids is key for this role.The candidate will have excellent attention to detail and produce quality documentation that is subject to audit scrutiny.Requirements:ExperienceProven experience in a Bid writing or Bid Management roleExperience of working in a Infrastructure construction businessExperience in rail, Power, Energy connections, Water and utilities industries is required.Successful history of writing bids and managing the bid programme to ensure work is secured.Experience working in general construction such as fit out could also be consideredQualificationsBachelor’s Degree or HND – desirableProject Management or technical engineering qualifications consideredTechnical skillsExcellent Microsoft office skills.Knowledge of customer relationship management (CRM) IT system.Excellent knowledge of the regulatory frameworks, policies, and incentives governing procurement in the infrastructure sector.Detail knowledge of the construction industry.Additional skillsArticulate and excellent writing skills.A network of industry contacts and the ability to maintain relationships with key stakeholders.Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information to diverse audiences.Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities, with a focus on risk assessment, and opportunity evaluation.This is a great opportunity to work with a growing contractor in a very busy, fast paced environment.
