Job Summary The prerequisite for this role is to be fully bilingual, speak, read and write French. This position’s primary role is to review, assess and process the final stages of an issued policy before it is placed as inforce and premium paying. The incumbent would be in a full production environment. Strategic priorities encompassed within the role include providing high quality of document accuracy, strong analytical skills, risk mitigation practices and procedures along with strong written communication skills.Job DescriptionWhat is the opportunity?As part of the Settlement Team, your primary role is to review, assess and process the final stages of an issued policy before it is placed as inforce and premium paying. You will be responsible to communicate, primarily written; with various policy stakeholders including internal RBC Sales partners, external Sales Brokerages and other internal RBC departments.What will you do?

  • Review of the final requirements required to place a policy into an inforce/premium paying status
  • An eye for divergences in the policy settlement process that need to be addressed and/or corrected
  • Ability to change and adapt as the portfolio of products are newly developed and/or updated
  • Track and maintain inventory of completed work and decisions
  • Build and maintain relationships with partners within New Business Operations team and with our Sales partners
  • Ability to work jointly within a shared email inbox with up to 7 other team members, work collaboratively with shared resources and clients

What will you need to succeed?

  • 1 to 3 years of insurance industry experience would be considered an asset
  • Experience with payment handling information, credit card, bank accounts, refunds, etc.
  • Documented experience and ability to follow outlined processes and procedures
  • Effective communication skills, written and verbal, in both English and French
  • Proven ability of high value output while meeting key performance metrics: Productivity, Quality and TAT (turn-around-time)
  • A team player, contributing not only to achieve personal goals, but also those of the team and department
