We are an inspiring leader in disability services that wants to make a real difference in people’s lives!Job Summary:The purpose of this position is to coordinate and ensure the accuracy and timeliness of billing records and documentation for various program services and funding sources.Essential Job Functions:

  • Manage payer relationships and contracts, including changes in contract terms and conditions.
  • Monitor billing setup in MyEvolv software system and verify that all necessary information is in place, such as details related to services provided, person served eligibility, and funding sources (such as Medicaid, DEED-VRS, County, WI-DVR and MCO).
  • Review internal billing workflow and identify areas for improvement or optimization. Understand and utilize the billing roles and functions in the MyEvolv software system, including benefit assignments, billing rules, and other linkages pertinent to billing.
  • Assist program managers in preparing billing according to the established deadlines and procedures by gathering, organizing, and entering relevant data as necessary.
  • Collaborate with internal team members to maximize the percentage of clean claims. Troubleshoot and resolve any process or system problems that may affect billing operations.
  • Work with billing specialists, administrative staff, and various funding sources including governmental and commercial insurance (such as Medicaid, DEED-VRS, County, WI-DVR and MCO) to address denied claims and other billing discrepancies or issues.
  • Collaborate with internal team members to manage accounts receivable and assist in collections.
  • Perform quality assurance and internal auditing tasks to ensure that billing codes, rules, rates, and other relevant details align with regulations and guidelines.

Required Education, Experience, and other Qualifications

  • Two years of experience in billing, preferably in the healthcare, human services, or non-profit sector.
  • An Associate degree or equivalent in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
  • Familiar with billing software and systems, such as MyEvolv is a strong plus.
  • Knowledge of billing rules and regulations for various funding sources, such as Medicaid, DEED-VRS, County, WI-DVR, and MCO (Manage Care organization).
  • Attention to detail, accuracy, and organization.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Compliance with Rule 11, MVR, and Rise criminal background check required.
  • Preferred Education, Experience, and other Qualifications
  • Previous experience working in a social services organization is preferred.
  • Detail-oriented, results-driven, efficient, and communicative.
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks and prioritize appropriately.
  • Comfortable working across the organization.

Wage and Benefits:

  • Wage: $20.76- $24.42/hr depending on qualifications
  • Daytime work hours , no major holidays
