An exciting opportunity has arisen at South West London Pathology, St. George’s NHS Foundation Trust Hospital a Biomedical Scientist to joinour Cellular Pathology Department with a focus in Histology.We are looking for an enthusiastic Biomedical Scientists to work on rotation through our department and to help us continue to deliverexceptional, high-quality integrated care to our patients.Main duties of the jobAn opportunity has arisen within the Cellular Pathology Department for a full time Biomedical Scientist in our Histology Laboratory. The posts arefor 37.5 hours a week.Our refurbished laboratories are spacious, well equipped and embrace lean methodologies such as daytime processing, automated special stainsand voice recognition reporting. We provide an extensive range of diagnostic techniques including special stains, immunocytochemistry, moleculartesting, OSNA, Moh’s, frozen sections and enzyme histochemistry. The department also has specialised neuropathology and perinatal pathologysections.HCPS registered, and with a good general histology background, you’ll have good leadership, team working and organisational skills, as well asthe ability to use your initiative.The department is an approved training laboratory and has full accreditation. • Experience of working with a laboratory computer system
• Experience of working with a laboratory computer system
• Knowledge of health and safety issues
• Evidence of continuing professional development
