Job DescriptionWe’re currently seeking a versatile Bookkeeper to join our client in the real estate sector. As the successful candidate, you’ll work out of Halifax, NS as part of a small, dedicated team. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity ideal for an adaptable and positive individual with a go-getter work ethic.Key Responsibilities for the Job:

  • Accounts payable
  • Accounts receivable
  • Journal entries
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Financial statement preparation
  • Revenue reporting
  • Tax returns
  • Month-end and year-end
  • Other bookkeeping/accounting support related duties as required

Experience & Attributes for Success:

  • Post secondary education in accounting, bookkeeping, or business
  • 5+ years of experience in a multi-faceted bookkeeping role(s)
  • Prior experience in the real estate sector is an asset, but not required
  • Efficiency, willingness to learn and ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skill
  • A positive attitude with effective communication skills
