Job SummaryJob DescriptionWhat is the Opportunity?The role is provides Branch Operations support to DS clients, Branch Management Team, Investment Advisors and Investment Advisor Associates. This role ensures the branch is following procedures as outlined in the Internal Controls policies as well as regulatory requirements.What will you do?

  • Responsible for processing all branch cash transactions, including cheques, Bankwires and for processing physical securities
  • Ensure Branch and Cage reports are prepared, reviewed (where assigned), distributed and/or presented to Branch Management for review.
  • Manage the filing for all branch operations related reports and documents, oversee branch retention of documents in accordance with internal controls
  • Account opening approvals, this includes reviewing documentation and scanning forms into the documentation workflow system, pulling documentation for branch staff as needed
  • Reception – answering phones and greeting clients
  • Support branch management team with administrative functions: order management of the office supplies; boardroom scheduling, providing support to Branch Administrators when needed, assisting in ordering lunch for branch presentations, support with premises management
  • Assist with special branch projects for the teams including regulatory projects & firm-lead initiatives
  • Co-ordinate with Advisor/Branch for any client events, manage invitations & logistics & event execution
  • Learn the administration aspects of the Associate role (account opening, forms, trading & reports) at a basic level
  • Cover Associate vacations

What do you need to succeed?Must-have

  • Strong skills working with business applications/technology, including Microsoft Office Suite
  • High quality time management and organization skills
  • Demonstrated skills in providing world-class client service that will come across as professional, warm, and friendly to our clients
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in

  • Canadian Securities Course (CSC) and Conduct and Practices Handbook Course (CPH)
