Salary: $6,090 to $6,561 per month (SR-19, Step C to I). This recruitment will be used to establish a list of qualified applicants to fill the current vacancies and may be used to fill future vacancies as they occur.Duties SummaryThis is the FULL PERFORMANCE LEVEL for building construction inspection work involving a broad range of inspection functions for a variety of construction operations, materials, and methods under varying conditions and requirements.These positions inspect and measure construction materials used, and check methods employed in the construction at hand; inspect the erection of false work and concrete forms used; accept or reject concrete forms, construction equipment and materials based on specifications or modifications approved by a higher level inspector; keep detailed records of work completed and materials used; prepare and submit routine inspection reports as directed; prepare monthly progress reports concerning the construction project; and perform other related duties as assigned.Minimum Qualification RequirementsTo qualify, you must meet all of the following requirements:Legal Authorization to Work Requirement:
The State of Hawaii requires all persons seeking employment with the government of the State shall be citizens, nationals, or permanent resident aliens of the United States, or eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment in the United States.General Experience: TWO (2) YEARS of Journey level experience in the building construction trades, which demonstrated knowledge of the full range of specialized knowledge, skills, abilities and practices used in such trades, including knowledge of building construction methods and materials and safety requirements and practices, and the ability to read and interpret blueprints and sketches.Specialized Experience: ONE (1) YEAR of either:
A. Building construction Inspection work experience; or
B.
