Advancing People are recruiting for an experienced Channel Business Development Manager within the Office Printing & Print on Demand sector. It is essential you have this experience. In return you will be working for a well known and respected organisation that offers plenty of progression.Salary: up to £50,000 basic payBenefits: 20% OTE Performance Bonus + Company car/Car Allowance + Pension (6% Employer Contribution, 3% Employee Contribution), Private Medical Cover, Life Assurance, 26 days holiday (+ Bank holidays).Location: Field Based. National Role initially. Successful candidate will ideally be based in Central England, within easy commute to Bedford head office and Luton Customer Experience Centre.Candidate Requirements:

  • Strong experience in printing device/office products, POD and/or related software industry; including knowledge of customer drivers and competitor offerings.
  • Strong channel management experience; including experience of developing business relationships and business growth with channel partners/dealers and distributors.
  • Driven to achieve targets and follow up on all sales opportunities.
  • Excellent commercial acumen, coupled with strong negotiation skills – experience of /ability to negotiate at board level and identify large business opportunities.
  • Self Motivated and pro-active with a positive attitude & tenacity
  • Ability to develop business contacts and relationships at all levels of an organisation
  • Excellent presentation, communication and interpersonal skills
  • A collaborative team player who supports their colleagues and managers
  • Strong administration, planning and organisational skills.
  • Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities:-Business Growth

  • Continuously explore and drive new equipment business opportunities within the partner channel, ensuring sales targets and key KPI’s are met.
  • Work with partners to increase business performance and product mix achieving product sales ambition.
  • Produce and work to a business plan as agreed with the Head of DT, ensuring profitable business development.
  • Propose any marketing requirements for the segment and agree activities that should be in the business plan to support target
  • Ensure that deals are in line with budget agreed and submitted in the correct way.

Field Sales

  • Build and convert partner prospects and ensure pipeline growth is maintained and allocated sales targets are met or surpassed.
  • Keep abreast of new products and developments both with company and competitors’ products
  • Capture customer requirements, identifying opportunities for improved performance, productivity and efficiency using the portfolio, building strong relationships across the customer organisation.
  • Work with partners to organise and support open days, demos, reference visits for capital equipment prospects
  • Maintain customer call records, date of visits etc by utilisation of CRM system (salesforce.com)
  • Support credit and finance requirements in conjunction with credit team to build commercial deals
  • Continuous collaboration with all managers, technical sales persons, technical and support staff.
  • Respond when necessary to all Head of DT Sales requests for assistance and act on their decisions where necessary
  • Produce a strategy plan to be agreed with Sales Management
  • Create/prepare/present solutions to benefit customer business, ensuring customer return is appealing.
  • Maximise return on all proposals, but ensuring appealing enough to gain customer business.

Communication

  • Produce a monthly report highlighting progress and opportunities within the UK (in format provided).
  • Ensure all discounts are correct regarding accounts in area where a Group is involved.

Administration

  • Keep salesforce.com up to date and accurate
  • Submit expenses and car mileage monthly
  • Ensure car is maintained in line with manufacturers service details and maintain the car to a clean and safe condition
  • Receive authority for holidays from Head of DT Sales before booking
