Salary: £40,176.66 per annum DOE

The University of Sheffield International College is seeking an enthusiastic educator with a student-centred approach to cover maternity leave within the Business and Economics Team and teach Project Skills for Management.

ABOUT THE ROLE

  • Candidates are expected to be skilled in developing and teaching materials designed to prepare students for Management degrees (e.g., BA (Hons) Accounting and Financial Management, Business Management and Economics etc.) and be fluent in both written and spoken English. Experience writing and administering assessments at a minimum of RQF level 3 is required, along with a proven track record of delivering Business and Management modules within UK Higher Education, Further Education, or Sixth form.
  • Candidates should be familiar with Virtual Learning Environments (e.g., Blackboard) and digital teaching tools (e.g., Wooclap, Kahoot or Mentimeter) as well as proficient in using IT for teaching administration, tracking student engagement and analysing outcomes.
  • Individuals who are capable of teaching related modules (e.g., Accounting & Finance, Economics, and Project Skills) with experience of teaching international students at RQF level 3 and module coordination (or equivalent), will be prioritised.
  • Candidates should demonstrate a commitment to continuous professional development, strong record-keeping skills, and flexibility in managing multiple priorities under pressure. ABOUT YOU

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject, or equivalent experience (Individuals with a master’s degree or working towards a PhD are encouraged to apply).
  • Experience teaching Business and Management disciplines, or a related field, at RQF level 3 or equivalent teaching experience
  • Demonstrable success with marking, developing and administering assessments, at RQF level 3, or equivalent experience
  • Experience in module coordination, or proven ability in coordinating a team to achieve a specific goal
  • Proficient use of IT for teaching administration, tracking student engagement, and analysing outcomes
