  • Monitoring and reporting progress.
  • Performing clerical duties as required, such as typing, filing, photocopying, and data entry.
  • Participating in special projects, including document creation and/or reviewing, and project coordination.
  • Focusing on being “Customer” oriented and competitively providing quality deliverables.
  • Working with minimal supervision in a high-pressure team environment, requiring initiative, confidentiality, and the ability to interact effectively with all personnel levels, both in person and over the phone.
  • Preparing waste management, procurement, and performance reports for management, clearly articulating emerging issues and communicating planned courses of action.
  • Providing support and assistance to the project team to ensure effective and timely execution.
  • Administering various items as needed, including Procurement (Make/Buy) and Contract Management, while managing information and ensuring accurate and sufficient documentation.
  • Providing strategic support to department staff in developing and implementing processes, procedures, and working instructions to support operations and activities.
  • Interacting with a diverse group of CNL staff, including Directors, Managers, Program Authorities, Program Managers, and Project Managers.
  • Periodically reviewing requirements, processes, and standards to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Other duties as assigned by your manager.

What we are looking for:

  • Education
  • A University Degree or Diploma from a recognized educational institute in Commerce or Business Administration combined with a minimum of 2 to 3 years of related and progressive experience or an equivalent combination of formal training with a minimum of 5 years of related and progressive experience is required.
  • Experience
  • Demonstrated competence and successful experience in planning, auditing, procurement, and reporting within a team environment.
  • Proven experience in working with multi-disciplinary subjects/topics involving organizing, planning, coordinating, assessing, analyzing, and presenting information and ideas.
  • Experience developing and writing business plans, reports, presentation packages, graphs, and briefing notes.
  • Familiarity with Electronics Data Management Systems.
  • Experience in decommissioning and environmental remediation is considered an asset.
  • Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Highly self-motivated with the ability to work as a team player.
  • Comfortable working with minimal oversight and willing to cooperate with others.
  • Ability to work effectively with personnel from varying disciplines to manage relationships across CNL departments.
  • Ability to resolve complex, sensitive issues within established processes and procedures, using greater judgment with some autonomy.
  • Skilled in supporting issue resolution by clarifying and interpreting issues and addressing escalated matters.
  • Ability to make decisions within defined guidelines, policies, and procedures, with impact primarily within the program.
  • Communication skills to be utilized with internal and external contacts, such as team members, CNL management, and client organizations, through written, face-to-face, and telephone interactions.
  • Capable of managing responsibilities in a team environment while maintaining confidentiality, dependability, and accountability.
  • Proficient with Oracle and Microsoft Suite and capable of working independently or as part of a team.
  • Capable of working under pressure, with changing priorities and deadlines, and taking assignments at various CNL sites.
  • Security Clearance Eligibility Required
  • Reliability Status with Site Access Security Clearance (SASC), which has a minimum requirement of 3-5 years of verifiable history in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the United States and/or the United Kingdom. CNL implements security screening in accordance with the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat’s “Standard on Security Screening” and the “Policy on Government Security.”
