About the TeamAn exciting and challenging opportunity has arisen in the Business Support Service for the Children, Families and Lifelong Learning (CFLL) Directorate. The Business Support Service provides administrative assistance to operational teams to aid them in carrying out their statutory duties. Within the Service, the Leadership Support Team provides administrative support to the Senior Leaders of the CFLL Directorate.About the RoleThe post holder will manage a variety of different initiatives and projects as well as engage in and coordinate activity related to Business Continuity Planning and Health & Safety. Other responsibilities include support to the Leadership Team, process mapping and streamlining, delivering information via internal webpages, and coordinating webinars and events.You will need to be able to work towards robust and high-quality strategic plans to safeguard the delivery of the service. There is also an expectation to contribute to and facilitate projects which affect the wider CFLL Directorate.As part of this role you will report to the Business Support Manager and will work closely with the Leadership Team, our other Business Support Planning and Project Officers, external partner agencies and the wider Business Support Service.Shortlisting CriteriaTo be considered for shortlisting for this position, your application will clearly evidence the following:

  • Ability to communicate and present to staff at all levels
  • Excellent organisational, project management and planning skills
  • Ability to implement a proactive approach to your work
  • Excellent IT skills and proficiency in using Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work effectively and flexibly as part of a team, supporting your colleagues when needed
  • The willingness and ability to travel extensively around your geographical quadrant area and the wider County as required
