Job description
Reporting to the Cage Manager, the Cage Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that proper internal control measures are in place and being followed for all financial transactions within the Cage (Count Room, Main Cage, Gift Shop and Poker). The position must report all operational exceptions/concerns to Slot Management. They will promote and maintain the utmost integrity and the highest caliber of customer service and respect to all guests, associates, and AGLC personnel.Responsibilities

- Ensure the Cash Cages meets desired presentation for our guests throughout hours of operation.

- Develop, support and mentor the count team, as well as, all slot associates in areas pertaining to finance
- Ensure proper implementation of established policies, procedures and controls for effective and secure cash flow within the Count Room, Slot Cage and Slot Floor
- Support and communicate with the Finance Department
- Ensure all applicable paperwork related to the Count Room, Cash Cage and Slot Floor are provided to the Finance Department on a timely and efficient basis
- Responsible for loading and balancing TITO redemption kiosks (TRK’s)
- Ensuring the smooth transaction and documentation of currency requirements for our ATM provider
- Ensure proper and accurate bank deposits for the Cage Department, as well as, all other applicable outlets
- Maintain proper inventory and maintenance of all related coin/currency handling equipment
- Ensure all Cage operations are in compliance with AGLC Terms and Conditions
- Monitor and report risk and safety concerns to ensure a safe environment for both associates and guests
- Ensure the guests are being provided with superior customer service
- Support and communicate with all applicable departments associated with the casino gaming floor
- Responsible for the daily execution of operational goals and objectives within the Financial area (Count Room, Cash Cages, Slot Floor)
- May be required to assist in areas of the Slot Cage/Slot Floor/Count Room
- Computer data entry of cash transactions, IVS Tito program
- Actively communicates inefficiencies
- Ability to work under stress obtaining organizational skills in time management
- Maintains housekeeping of workstation and surrounding areas
- Maintain an AGLC gaming workers license
- Uphold a teamwork appearance offering assistance where available or when requested
- Able to learn the duties of a Poker / Para mutual / Lotto cashier
- Adhere to all scheduled shifts
- Observes performance of Cashiers and Count Room Clerks and executes coaching and mentoring
- Actively participates in the Scoring and Coaching of assigned programs
- Encourage staff involvements in events
- Display leadership skills
- Facilitate training with entry of slot employees to the Cashier/Count Room positions
- Performing the Daily Stand Up to all associates as they arrive for their shifts
- To look out for the safety of yourself, co-workers and to follow all Health and Safety requirements in the workplace.
- All other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- 2-3 years preferred in the casino/slot industry
- 1-2 years preferred demonstrated experience as a slot attendant or cashier
- 1-year experience (preferred) demonstrated experience in the area of finance within a casino operation
- Casino financial accounting and background an asset
- Excellent customer service skills
- Previous experience with handling large sums of currency an asset
- Able to lead people in different position levels to reach departmental objectives
- Able to adapt to procedural changes when deemed necessary by house or AGLC guidelines
- High School Diploma
- Must be able to register with AGLC
- Introductory to accounting an asset
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Outlook, Power point and Excel
