Transdev Canada is hiring a casual Call Taker/Dispatcher for our Kelowna, BC location.As a Call Taker/Dispatcher, you will receive emergency and non-emergency calls and manage the daily operations of a fleet of drivers, coordinating routes and pickups for buses and other transit vehicles. You will also act as a liaison between drivers and customers.Your Role:
- Answer incoming calls and provide accurate information to customers regarding schedules, routes, and services.
- Schedule requested trip times into our scheduling software.
- Dispatch drivers and vehicles efficiently to meet customer demand.
- Monitor and coordinate real-time vehicle locations and communicate with drivers to ensure on-time performance.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues in a professional and courteous manner.
- Maintain accurate records of all communications and dispatch activities.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

Your Profile:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a call-taking, dispatch, or customer service role is preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of Kelowna’s geography and public transportation system is an asset.
Your location:
- This is a full-time, on-site position in Kelowna, BC.
- There is a requirement to work early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
