- Track the Capital expenditures for Abbott Nutrition (AN) and create metrics (and cadence of metrics) across the AN network that drive visibility and measureable improvements.
- Play a key role in tracking and analyzing Request for Capital Expenditures (RCE), capital project data and driving accurate RCE submission.
- Capture data across systems to maintain a user-friendly repository that tracks our Capital and Project activity, to allow business managers and other users to make more informed future business decisions.
- Candidate must have a broad background of industry best practices and performance metrics, as well as financial and capital project acumen.
- Interface (calls/emails) with Abbott Nutrition sites and functions in countries all around the world, requiring flexibility in communication and cultural sensitivities.
- Develops new procedures and standards
- Complies with all regulations and standards for quality, Environmental, Health, Safety, and Energy (EHS&E) Global Policies, Abbott Engineering Standards, and other governance areas as applicable
- Ability to communicate, challenge and collaborate up to director level
- Ability to present to senior leadership and large groups
Capital Projects:
- Ensure accurate project submission, responsible for approval process for a segment of all AN Capital Projects
- Maintain the Capital Planning project database
- Familiar with SAP/ERP systems
- Ensure coordination with AN Finance and databased process (Planview) for cash flow alignment and reporting.
Metrics/Analytics/ Reporting:
- Maintain Capital Planning Microsoft SharePoint sites and publish reports to it.
- Develop dashboards and reports for the Capital Business Office (CBO)
- Excellent teamwork and ability to function across multiple areas of the business
- Provide support to other areas of the Capital Business cross-functional teams across the organization to understand overall business goals, improve reporting, and assist with larger scale projects as needed
- Ability to use Power BI (or similar software tool) to display trends (the ability to build Power BI dashboards is preferred)
- Ability to use Planview (or similar software tool) to collaborate with Finance and Resource Planning
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing, Engineering, or a related field.
- 0-3 yrs. experience.
- Strong business analytics experience.
- Familiar with the Project Management Life Cycle
- Extensive competencies in documentation and data management
- Strong written and presentations skills; ability to communicate effectively with senior management and work well with team
- Possesses interpersonal skills to negotiate and reconcile differences to all levels within the organization
- Personal integrity and courage to escalate any project or process issues and advocate for responsible solutions to management
- Accountability- Works under general direction toward predetermined goals and objectives
- Adaptability and flexibility including the ability to manage deadlines
- Strong Microsoft Office experience –MS Excel and IT system experience desired
- Microsoft Power BI knowledge/experience preferred
- Planview knowledge/experience preferred
- While not required, a strong understanding of technical concepts, modeling/simulation capabilities, and/or a manufacturing background will be beneficial in this role as the majority of the projects being supported through this team are in support of AN’s manufacturing network.
- Travel 10%
The base pay for this position is $60,000.00 – $120,000.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
