Please consider this carefully before applying.Do you have a passion for helping others and a desire to make a positive impact in the lives of elderly residents?The HomeBen Madigan is a registered Nursing Home situated in Newtownabbey; a purpose-built facility offering accommodation of 70 single ensuite bedrooms over two floors. The ground floor, Hillview Unit, houses 33 residents and is a General Nursing unit. The first floor accommodates up to 37 older people with dementia split into 2 units – Bellview Unit and Coastview Unit. We have hardworking and dedicated staff at the home from a wide range of backgrounds and cultures.The RoleYou will pride yourself on providing high-quality, person-centred care to our residents, fostering a welcoming environment where residents are treated with respect and dignity, and staff feel valued and supported. As part of our frontline team, you will play a pivotal role in the day-to-day operations of the Home, assisting with activities of daily living ensuring the wellbeing and comfort of residents.   • Right to work in the UK.
  • Previous experience in Health and Social Care preferred, although not essential as full training will be provided.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • A good standard of oral and written English.
  • A non-judgemental approach to others.
  • Excellent communication skills with the compassion required to deliver high-quality care to our residents.
  • Respectful to not only residents but the values and beliefs of other team members.

Desired Criteria

  • Educated to QCF/ NVQ Level 2 is desirable, but not essential.
