At the ENMAX group of companies, we look for energy solutions for today, while knowing we have the power to provide for a better tomorrow.The Cash Control Accountant is responsible for the Cash settlement, Customer payment posting, Trade confirmation and the Bank Reconciliation functions. There is extensive interaction with both internal and external customers which requires excellent interpersonal skills.Major Responsibilities:Receive, review and record daily deposits into ENMAX bank accounts.Perform bank reconciliations for multiple bank accounts.Confirm and verify investment and foreign exchange tickets with bank(s) for Treasury Dept.Run daily cash settlement and confirm cash payment in WD bank account.Verify foreign exchange rates in EKA and perform FX netting and settlement monthly.Create customers in WD billing.Create and post journals for month-end items, payroll entries, hedging and other transactions.Prepare and confirm daily bank deposits.Apply payments to WD A/R invoices.Record and reconcile customer credit card payments.Review and verify daily cash sweep entries to centralize cash balances.Process and notify business regarding NSF and stale-dated cheques.Prepare and post WD A/R write-offs.Prepare Corp credit card reconciliation for transactions paid but not yet supported with an expense report.Ensure cleared cheques are cashed accurately and not fraudulently on a daily basis.Create and process customer refunds.Education Required:University Degree or College Diploma in Business or CommerceEnrolled in a designated professional program and having achieved the 3rd step.Qualifications:A minimum of three to five years of accounting experience.In-depth understanding of computer systems including Microsoft Excel, EKA and Workday or an equivalent ERP system.Advanced analytical skills and experience working with spreadsheets is required.Competencies:A self-starter who can work independently, while managing multiple priorities under tight deadlines is a must.Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detailExcellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to influence and interact with all levels in the organizationExcellent customer service acumen.Did we mention the ENMAX Advantage?We offer competitive compensation including a comprehensive flexible benefits program, when in office a non-downtown location that includes great building amenities such as free onsite fitness facility with programming geared to employee’s needs, onsite child care centre (upon availability, offered from our ENMAX Place location 141 – 50 Ave. SE), free parking and much more.
