eCapital is currently seeking a full-time Cash Processing Specialist to join our team in our Orillia, Ontario office. At eCapital, our employees are the base of our business, and dynamic employees enable us to service our clients in the most exceptional manner. As a Cash Processing Specialist on the Freight Factoring portfolio, you will have the opportunity to provide the necessary support in a team oriented and friendly environment.The Cash Processing Specialist will be responsible for data entry and other accounting duties.Responsibilities:

  • Posting cash payments & bank adjustments to customer’s accounts in the Freight Factoring portfolio
  • Researching customer payments, resolving discrepancies with remittances & completing necessary account adjustments
  • Collaborating with other internal departments, such as Customer Service, Finance, or Collections to resolve payment issues
  • Understanding and prioritization of assigned workload for completion within a specified time frame
  • Other duties as assigned by the Manager of Cash Processing

Skills and Experience

  • Proficient with Excel
  • Strong data-entry skills
  • Excellent mathematical, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Accurate, accountable, and detail oriented with the ability to work independently & meet deadlines
  • Recent experience in cash applications or collections is an asset

Qualifications:

  • Post secondary education in business, accounting, or another related field is an asset
