Job Summary:The role will be based in Montreal reporting to the CBTS Lead – Payment Systems located in Montreal. The primary responsibility is to support the Montran JGPS application used to process USD payment and settlement activities for the CACIB NY Branch. Support encompasses real-time MI interfaces (SWIFT, FEDWIRE and CHIPS), downstream interfaces (Treasury, Sanction Filtering, AML, etc.), and the start/close of business including end of day batch processing.The CBTS domain leverages technical expertise and business knowledge to support a myriad of business applications across the Americas in the US, Brazil and Canada branches.It includes applications covered by two CACIB Head office IT business lines
· CSI – Corporate & Support Functions IT: Finance, Risk, Referentials, Compliance, Transverse applications and Corporate systems (HR, Administration, IT for IT …)
· CBI – Corporate Banking IT: Commercial Banking (Front, Middle & Back Office), Payments, Client accounts and Client on boardingKey Responsibilities:· Support the production Montran JGPS application. JGPS is used to process USD payments and settlements for the CACIB NY Branch. Primary user base is Operations.· Support all JGPS upstream and downstream interfaces, audit data warehouse and reconciliations.· Coordinate with internal and external resources required to support JGPS and associated interfaces. This includes the JGPS application vendor and CACIB Infrastructure/security teams.· Contribute to key initiatives related to technical/functional IT and business projects to meet and support business objectives.· Responsible for production support:
– Support day to day production needs:§ Resolution of production issues, including RCA, defect remediation and incident reporting.
§ Lead troubleshooting of issues and provide guidance to the support team members.
§ Coordinate and execute maintenance activities including business continuity and critical application failover tests, market infrastructure mandatory tests and releases (SWIFT, FED/CHIPS), system/security patching.
§ Actively support all efforts to simplify and enhance the information systems.· Responsible for project deliverables:
– Act as main point of contact for projects.
– Work with project stakeholders and contributors to gather requirements and develop solution strategies.
– Coordinate with technical teams and provide clarifications and guidance on requirements.
– Create required documentation for requirements, solution design, and implementations.
– Develop test strategy, test plans and execute functional/technical test scripts
– Facilitate and manage unit, integration and user acceptance testing.
– Train and support staff members.Supplementary InformationTechnical aptitude:· Ability to provide input to general architecture – including hardware, network, tools, software, etc.
· Help critique, develop and direct technology solutions· Assist in the gathering of business requirements and define specifications· Propose and approve solution designs· Assist with development teams to ensure proper implementation of requirements in the information system· Be familiar with technology tools to confirm data quality and investigate questions· Ensure the respect of policies and procedures of the Bank, as well as regulatory requirements· Support and assist in the functional testing on major projects or complex changesPosition locationGeographical areaAmerica, CanadaCityMontrealCandidate criteriaMinimal education levelBachelor Degree / BSc Degree or equivalentAcademic qualification / SpecialityBachelor Degree or equivalentLevel of minimal experience3-5 yearsExperience· Domain knowledge of payments processing in a banking environment· Experience as part of an IT production support team responsible for supporting production, enhancements and maintenance of a payment system.· Experience supporting payments clearing and settlement activities with market infrastructures (SWIFT, FEDWIRE, CHIPS)· Experience supporting Operations and Compliance Teams· Knowledge in payment message structures/flows, market best practices and roadmaps (e.g. ISO, SWIFT GPI).· Knowledge of Sanctions Filtering and AML· Knowledge of project management and project life cycleRequired skills· Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and written in French and English (You will need to service Anglophone clients and work with Anglophone colleagues)· Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills· Strong written and verbal communication skills· Good organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to multi-task is a must· Comfortable in working with multiple teams across locations with excellent inter-personal skills· Self-motivated, and autonomousTechnical skills required· Experience with implementation, upgrades and enhancements of payment systems· Strong technical knowledge background in databases, Linux, and Windows systems· Strong knowledge of the Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.), SQL Server, Oracle PL/SQL, and shell scripting· Working knowledge of MQ series, JBoss, and Control-M· Experience with development of technical architectures and solution designs to meet business requirements· Hands on experience on testing methodologies· Working knowledge of JIRA is added advantageLanguagesEnglish, French
