Job DescriptionTHE FIRMA highly regarded central London firm with a strong charity and social enterprise team.THE ROLEFor a Charities Lawyer with a commercial law background, to be responsible for providing legal advice and solutions to charities, not-for-profits, and educational institutions on a range of matters, including:
- Formation and incorporation of charities
- Mergers, collaborations, and joint ventures
- Advising senior management teams, boards of governors, and trustees
- Drafting and reviewing commercial contracts and agreements
- Advising on data protection and wider charity law and education-related matters
Job responsibilities
- Advise on charity formation, mergers, collaborations, and joint ventures
- Counsel senior management teams, boards, and trustees on governance and legal matters
- Draft and review commercial contracts and agreements related to fundraising
- Provide guidance on data protection, charity law, and education-related issues
- Partner with the Head of Charities to deliver the department’s strategy and improve processes
- Develop a specialised area of expertise within the Charities/Not-for-Profit sector
ABOUT YOUWith 4pqe+ and preferably with a commercial law background, you should have proven experience in all aspects of charities lawApplications are invited from both private practice and in house lawyers.Lipson Lloyd Jones Ltd is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy.
