Our professional staff provides cost-effective engineering solutions to our clients by working on their technical issues allowing them to remain focused on their primary business.Job Duties:Work closely on construction plans with clients, architects, and other professionalsMake drawings, specifications and computer models of structures for building contractorsPrepare reports, designs and drawingsProficiency with AutoCAD, REVIT, Microsoft Excel, and MS Office SuiteDevelop design ideas using Revit and CAD softwareApply expert knowledge of the forces that act on various structuresWork with geotechnical engineers to investigate ground conditions and analyze results of soil sample and in-situ testsInspect buildings and analyze configurations of the basic structural components of a building or other structureExamine structures at risk of collapse and advise how to improve their structural integrity, such as recommending removal or repair of defective parts or rebuilding the entire structureInvestigate the properties of materials like glass, steel and concrete, and advise which is most suitableLiaise with construction contractors to ensure that newly erected buildings are structurally soundObtain planning and/or building regulations approvalPrepare bids for tendersMonitor and inspect work undertaken by contractorsMaking sure that projects meet legal guidelines, environmental directives, and health and safety requirementsSupervise project teamsGive progress reports to clients and senior managersRequired SkillsA bachelor’s degree in engineering5 + Years’ experience desiredPE, FE or EIT. Must be able to achieve Professional RegistrationGood analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong mathematical abilityComputer literacyThree-dimensional conceptual skillsExcellent oral and written communication skillsDiagrammatic skillsAttention to detail and ability to follow lead Engineer directionAbility to liaise well with professionals from other disciplinesFamiliarity with Florida Building Code
