Class Teacher Job descriptionLittle Weighton Rowley Church of England Primary School is looking to appoint a class teacher to start preferably in September (but we would be willing to consider applications from teachers already in post, to start in November). The role is part term (0.7) with some flexibility around working patterns. It is a fixed term for one year in the first instance.Applications are invited from enthusiastic, high quality teachers with a commitment to continuing to improve pupils’ achievement and attainment who can inspire our pupils, with experience of leading a subject area across a primary school.We can offer you:
- the opportunity to join a small, hard-working team of teaching and non-teaching staff, who are ambitious for all pupils and strive to ensure a supportive learning community.
- the opportunity to develop leadership skills across a number of curriculum areas and to be fully involved in all aspects of school development. (Subjects are negotiable – please feel free to share any interests of strengths in your application form).
- pupils who have positive attitudes to all areas of school life, who are keen, kind and engaged in their learning and the wider aspects of school life.
- parents who value their child’s learning experiences and who are keen to support their child’s progress and wider aspects of school life.
We are looking for someone who is:
- hard working, enthusiastic and a good team player.
- an excellent primary practitioner, who is committed to ensuring children are inspired and supported to make outstanding progress in all areas of their primary journey
- able to develop positive relationships with staff, pupils and parents.
- keen to promote our Christian vision and values which are at the heart of our school community.
- experienced at leading a subject across the school or someone who is keen to develop their leadership skills.
Visits to the school are welcome on either Friday 21s June at 3.30pm or Wednesday 26th June at 1.15pm. However, if this is not possible, we may be able to offer an alternative.
