The Consultant is accountable for planning and managing the work of their workstream, identifying, and managing risks and issues, developing documentation, and engaging with the project team and clients to achieve project goals.WHAT YOU’LL GET TO DO:Plans, designs and implements project/workstream plans with minimal oversightDevelops project management artifacts, including work back schedules, dependency diagrams, issue/risk logs, etc.Conducts data analysis to support project findingsEstablishes project governance and manages project scope and budgetDevelops project deliverables and documentation in support of the business objectivesPlans and facilitates effective project meetings, driving discussions to necessary resolutionProvides direction and collaborates effectively with business leaders, project and technical teamsBuilds and manages stakeholder relationships, including business partners, users, vendors, customers, project and program team members, and management leadersCommunicates clearly and proactively to peers and client stakeholdersListens for client needs, can speak to Point B capabilities (services, products, etc.) at a high level, and pulls in the right support when client need is identifiedOpportunistically engages in business development efforts by identifying opportunities, joining calls or pursuit teams, and preparing business development collateralBuilds relationships through exceptional client service delivery and maintains relationships to support Point B business developmentSupports team effort and builds authentic relationships with individuals in work groups and teamsProactively seeks ways to supports team members and help other associates and clients achieve their professional goalsConsistently demonstrates and lives Point B cultural tenets and valuesParticipates in firm culture activities to connect regularly with other Point B’ers (e.g. account meetings, Practice Meetings, etc.)WHAT WE OFFER:The ability to chart your career path based on expertise and passionsAn environment that encourages you to identify new opportunities and supports you in reaching your goalsThe chance to have a balanced lifestyle by working with local or national clients in a flexible consulting modelThe opportunity to further enable fun and collaborative culture with teams that are as passionate about their communities as they are about their clientsA comprehensive, flexible Total Rewards program that supports and recognizes each’s unique needs and contributions to the firmWHAT WE EXPECT YOU’VE ALREADY DONE:Formal training to Environmental Sustainability – specifically climate action – solutionsUnderstanding of climate mitigation, transition approaches and decarbonization pathways by which to run analysis and activating recommendationsInterpretive understanding, writing and application of ESG/Sustainability disclosures and reporting – understanding of evolving global and regional regulations,Prior experience with data compilation, analysis, drafting and completing ESG/sustainability disclosures and reporting standards and frameworks (CDP, SBTi)Ability to develop a narrative, point of view, and applications of analysis and reporting outcomes by which to advise clientsPossess a strong understanding of ESG/environmental sustainability services, strategies, products and offeringsTHE KIND OF PEOPLE WE LOOK FOR:Graduate Degree in Climate Science & Solutions, Environmental Management, or like degrees, B.S required2+ years full time experience in GHG inventory, target setting, climate scenario analysis, carbon accounting+3-5 years of experience in the workforce, with a strong preference for mid-large managing consulting firmsStrong project manager, independent worker and self-drive to deadlinesProactive communicator, organized and positive in a dynamic and virtual team settingExcellent developer in PowerPoint, Excel and carbon management softwareAbility to communicate complex ideas clearlyDemonstrated experience in sustainability, energy transition and cleantech; relevant experience in supply chain (upstream, downstream, procurement methods). Preferred experience in renewables, asset decarbonization, carbon modeling and marketsStrong quantitative, analytical, and conceptual problem-solving skills combined with outstanding business acumen; comfort working with numbers/quantitative modelsAbility to travel to client site 25-35% on average (negotiable)Ability to work from homeAbility to work non-standard work hours as necessaryCOMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:The estimated salary range for this role is $93,000 – $150,500 USD per year. This salary range is provided as required by local and state law as applicable.
