Job description
Position Overview: Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital (NVRH) seeks a Clinical Informaticist to join our Information Services (IS) team. In this pivotal role, you will utilize health information technology to enhance clinical processes and improve healthcare outcomes. As a liaison between clinical departments and the IS Department, you will facilitate communication with vendors and staff regarding clinical applications. Your responsibilities will include assisting healthcare departments with planning, implementing, and supporting new workflows and collaborating with professionals for software training and support. Additionally, you will evaluate, test, troubleshoot, and optimize software systems. Join us in making a meaningful impact in healthcare!Key Responsibilities:
- Collect and Analyze Data: Gather comprehensive data to assess current workflows and identify areas for improvement using evidence-based techniques.
- Collaborate with Stakeholders: Engage healthcare teams and key stakeholders in data collection and needs analysis.
- Implement Clinical Processes: Utilize health information technology to support and enhance clinical processes for better healthcare outcomes.
- Develop Training Programs: Create user training and documentation to ensure effective use of information systems.
- Monitor Healthcare Needs: Assess organizational information needs and identify opportunities for safe and effective technology implementation.
- Promote Professional Development: Participate in educational programs and vendor training to stay updated on industry trends and enhance skills.
- Share On-Call Duties: Participate in night and weekend call as needed.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, related field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience: 3-5 years in customer service; preferred knowledge of clinical/fiscal operations and healthcare information systems.
- Skills: Ability to work with users of varying experience levels; excellent communication skills to bridge user needs and technology solutions.
