An exciting opportunity for Clinical Nurse Manager 2 to provide safe, quality care to an adult within a home setting for 20 hours per week.Responsibilities of a Registered Nurse include:Role of CNM21. Clinical governance of Care Package.2. Staff Management.3. Rosters.4. Coordination of all medical appointments.5. Ordering of supplies and medical equipment.6. Ordering of medication.7. First point of contact for HSE regarding any safeguarding and care package issues.Lead and Manage Staff:· Manage the effective recruitment, induction and training processes of the care team (e.g. nursing staff and care assistants).· Identify ongoing training needs and make sure staff are up to date with current best practice· Ensure there are sufficient numbers of suitably qualified staff allocated appropriately to meet service needs at all times.· Implement company policy and procedures in relation to managing absence, disciplinary, capability and grievance matters· Provide information, guidance and ongoing supervision to enable staff to effectively and safely carry out their roles. · · · Carry out appraisals and monitoring of staff performance· Ensure all emergency on-call issues are dealt with effectively, such as covering calls either directly or indirectly when nursing staff or care assistants are sick or absent· To promote and encourage professional development of staff· Provide support and supervision to staff nurses and care assistants where appropriate in order to assist them in their rolePersonal Attributes:

Knowledge and Understanding:
- A nursing qualification is essential. A Registered Nurse on the Live Register (RGN/ RCN/ RNID as required) of NMBI and at least 5 years post qualification experience
- Good understanding and application of good Clinical Governance and responsibilities
- Excellent understanding of the needs of people who require care and support at home and the provision of homecare services in line with best practice
- Excellent understanding of the principles of high quality person centred care and support and anti-discriminatory care practice
- Good understanding of the regulatory responsibilities of the HSE and HIQA and the law relating to home care services.
- Understanding of systems to maintain confidentiality in relation to customers, staff and the business
- Knowledge of health and safety matters and risk management in relation to homecare services
- Knowledge of how to recognise abuse and of safeguarding procedures
Experience and Skills:
- Excellent communication skills.
- Experience of building positive working relationships with people who use services and their families, staff and other health and social care professionals
- Management experience at CNM 1 level or above
- Ability to support customers with all aspects of their daily living in a manner that respects their dignity, is non-judgemental and promotes their independence, choices and privacy
- Experience of building positive relationships with external health and care professionals and organisations i.e. HSE etc.
- Experience of care services, risk assessment and individual care and support
- Ability to plan and organise workloads effectively so customers receive the services they expect
- Good administrative skills and computer literacy
- Experience of managing and developing an effective staff team including recruitment, training, supporting and supervising staff
- Ability to maintain clear written and electronic records and to follow statutory reporting procedures
- Evidence of consistent updating of clinical skills and knowledge and willingness for continued self-development in a professional capacity.
- Ability to make sure Bluebird Care’s policies, procedures and instructions are implemented effectively across the business
