Overview:
Our client is a dynamic, award-winning pharmacy business who since starting in 2019 have seen considerable year on year growth and are now looking to further expand their team with an experienced Clinical Operations Manager. By offering an efficient pharmacy prescribing service, the client has continued to fulfil their main aim of minimising the duties of the GPs, giving them more time to diagnose patients. Through rapid growth, this exciting opportunity comes with vast future potential opportunities for the right person.
Responsibilities:
- Driving clinical operations across the company, working in tandem with the operations manager.
- Reviewing clinical incidents fully (Investigating, reporting and actioning)
- Performance management of the clinical staff
- Ensuring the clinical team are delivering exceptional services with standards that meet CPPE, GPhC, Royal Pharmaceutical Society and all other regulatory bodies and standards.
- Driving development of the services and ensuring the clinical teams are up-to-date with said developments.
- Providing leadership, direction and management to all staff
- Develop training programmes/methods with the Training Team, ensuring all is clinically sound and compliant.
- Liaising with patients, clients and stakeholders to get feedback on the services, analysing this and putting actions in placed to improve the services
- Advising SLT on operational and business planning
- Driving communication throughout the company, surgeries, PCNs, Federations and other stakeholders.
- Reporting to SLT (CEO/CCO/COO)
- Building relationships with the new clients & further development of current clients
- Implementing new processes that work well with clients and are clinically accepted
- Feeding information to the training team to support in updating certain requirements
- Using KPIs to measure services against internal frameworks
- Understand clinical duties: Medication reviews and queries, long term condition reviews, drug monitoring, clinical audits, etc.
- Working with staff on person development plans
- Managing client contracts
Requirements:
- Qualified Prescriber – Independent Prescriber / Nurse Prescriber
- Experience as Pharmacist or RGN
- Registered with the GPhC or NMC
- Primary care experience required
- Knowledge of clinical system(s)
- Strong clinical experience to support with governance.
- A strong operator ideally with management experience
