Bromley GP Alliance is looking for an enthusiastic, forward-thinking Clinical Pharmacist to join the Anticoagulation Service.This position has become available due to the expansion of our existing team to support the growth of the Anticoagulation Service and the significant positive impact on the stroke prevention scheme within Bromley and Lewisham.The role of the Anticoagulation Pharmacist is to work within the BGPA Community Anticoagulation Service and managing patients on warfarin, as well as clinically screening incoming referrals and practising as a Pharmacist Independent Prescriber and conducting Initiation appointments and prescribing suitable Anticoagulants. Pharmacist is expected to work according to a Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and PGDs.This is a part time role, for 1 day a week to cover clinics in Lewisham and Bromley area and work as a hub pharmacist supporting clinical queries.Main duties of the jobThe BGPA Anticoagulation Service is led by Clinical Pharmacists.Their responsibilities include:Assisting in the running of the Community anticoagulation clinics across Bromley and LewishamWorking in close liaison with the service team to assist in the achievement of short and long term objectiveFacilitating anticoagulant prescriptions and ensure patients receive the correct anticoagulation medicationPromoting the safe, effective and economic use of anticoagulant drugs within the community and to train other healthcare staff in anticoagulant management.About usBromley GP Alliance (BGPA) Department InformationBGPA is a federation of all 43 Bromley practices working collaboratively to enhance the health and wellbeing of Bromley residents, covering over 350,000 patients, 100% of the Bromley population.BGPAs partner organisation is Bromley Education and Training Hub (BETH).
